Baked Salmon
Tender, flaky salmon fillets with a garlicky lemon-butter glaze — on the table in under 30 minutes with almost no cleanup.
Ingredients
- 4salmon fillets(about 6 oz each, skin-on)
- 2 tbspolive oil
- 2 tbspunsalted butter(melted)
- 3 clovesgarlic(minced)
- 1lemon(half juiced, half sliced into rounds)
- 1 tsphoney
- 1 tspkosher salt
- ½ tspblack pepper(freshly ground)
- ½ tspsmoked paprika
- 2 tbspfresh parsley(chopped, for serving)
Method
- 01
Preheat the oven to 400 °F (200 °C) and line a rimmed baking sheet with foil.
- 02
In a small bowl, whisk together the 2 tbsp olive oil, 2 tbsp melted butter, 3 cloves minced garlic, juice of half the lemon, and 1 tsp honey until combined.
- 03
Pat the 4 salmon fillets dry with paper towels — this helps the glaze adhere and promotes even browning.
- 04
Place the fillets skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them at least 1 inch apart.
- 05
Season the tops of the salmon evenly with 1 tsp kosher salt, ½ tsp black pepper, and ½ tsp smoked paprika.
- 06
Spoon the garlic-butter glaze generously over each fillet, letting it pool slightly around the edges.
- 07
Arrange the lemon rounds from the remaining half of the lemon around the fillets on the baking sheet.
- 08
Bake for 12–15 minutes, until the salmon flakes easily at its thickest point with a fork and is just opaque throughout.
- 09
Scatter 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley over the fillets and serve immediately, with the roasted lemon rounds on the side for squeezing.
