- 1 cancondensed cream of mushroom soup(10.5 oz)
- ¾ cupwhole milk
- 1 tspsoy sauce
- ¼ tspblack pepper
- ¼ tspgarlic powder
- 1 ⅓ cupsFrench fried onions(from a 6 oz can, divided)
Method
- 01
Preheat the oven to 350 °F (175 °C) and lightly grease a 1.5-quart baking dish.
- 02
In the baking dish, whisk together the 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup, ¾ cup whole milk, 1 tsp soy sauce, ¼ tsp black pepper, and ¼ tsp garlic powder until smooth.
- 03
Add the 2 cans drained green beans and ⅔ cup of the French fried onions to the dish; stir until everything is evenly coated.
- 04
Spread the mixture into an even layer and bake uncovered for 25 minutes, until the sauce is bubbling around the edges.
- 05
Remove from the oven and stir the casserole gently to redistribute the sauce.
- 06
Scatter the remaining ⅔ cup French fried onions evenly over the top.
- 07
Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5–10 minutes, until the onion topping is deep golden and crisp.
- 08
Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before serving so the sauce tightens slightly.
