# Mimosa

Chilled sparkling wine meets fresh orange juice in a 1:1 ratio — bright, effervescent, and ready in under two minutes.

_Beverage · French_

Prep: 2 min · Total: 2 min · Yields: 4 servings

## Ingredients

- 2 cups fresh orange juice (chilled, from about 4 large oranges)
- 1 pint dry sparkling wine (Prosecco, Cava, or Champagne, well chilled)
- 4 piece orange twist or slice (for garnish, optional)

## Instructions

1. Chill 4 champagne flutes in the freezer for at least 5 minutes before serving.
2. Pour 0.5 cup fresh orange juice into each flute, filling it halfway.
3. Slowly top each glass with sparkling wine to fill — pouring down the inside of the tilted glass preserves the bubbles.
4. Give each mimosa the gentlest single stir with a bar spoon if the layers need combining.
5. Garnish with an orange twist or slice on the rim and serve immediately.

## Tip

> Pour the orange juice first, then the sparkling wine — this natural order mixes them without stirring and keeps carbonation loss to a minimum.
