- 2 ¼ cupsall-purpose flour
- 1 tspbaking soda
- 1 tspkosher salt
- 1 cupunsalted butter, softened
- ¾ cuplight brown sugar, packed
- ½ cupgranulated sugar
- 2large eggs
- 2 tspvanilla extract
- 2 cupssemisweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 375°F. Line two baking sheets with parchment.

Whisk 2 1/4 cups flour, 1 tsp baking soda, and 1 tsp salt in a bowl.

In a large bowl, beat 1 cup softened butter, 3/4 cup brown sugar, and 1/2 cup granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.

Beat in 2 eggs and 2 tsp vanilla until smooth.

Add the dry ingredients in two additions, mixing on low until just combined.

Fold in 2 cups chocolate chips by hand.

Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the sheets, 2 inches apart. Bake 10–12 minutes until edges are golden but centers still look soft.

Cool on the sheet 5 minutes, then transfer to a rack.
