# Chia Water

Hydrating and lightly textured, chia water is two ingredients and five minutes of effort — with a gel-like consistency that keeps you full.

Prep: 5 min · Total: 5 min · Yields: 1 servings

## Ingredients

- 2 cups cold water
- 1 ½ tbsp chia seeds
- ½ tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed, optional)
- 1 tsp honey (optional, to taste)

## Instructions

1. Pour the 2 cups cold water into a glass or jar.
2. Add the 1.5 tbsp chia seeds and stir well for about 30 seconds to distribute them evenly.
3. Let the mixture sit for 5 minutes, then stir again to break up any clumps that have formed.
4. If using, squeeze in the 0.5 tbsp lemon juice and drizzle in the 1 tsp honey, then stir to combine.
5. Drink immediately for a lighter texture, or refrigerate for 20–30 minutes for a thicker, more gel-like consistency.

## Tip

> The second stir at the 5-minute mark is the key step — chia seeds clump into a single mass if left undisturbed, and no amount of stirring later will fully break it up.
