# Brazilian Lemonade

Limes (not lemons), sugar, condensed milk. Pulse, don't blend.

_Beverage · Brazilian_

Prep: 10 min · Total: 10 min · Yields: 4 servings

## Ingredients

- 4 limes, scrubbed and quartered
- 6 cups cold water
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup sweetened condensed milk
- 2 cups ice

## Instructions

1. Cut 4 limes into quarters and trim out any thick white core (it's bitter). Do not peel.
2. Add the lime quarters, 6 cups cold water, and 1/2 cup sugar to a blender. Pulse 5–6 times — just enough to break the limes up. Do NOT blend smooth or it will turn bitter.
3. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher, pressing on the solids to extract the juice.
4. Whisk in 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk until creamy.
5. Serve over 2 cups ice, divided among 4 glasses.

## Tip

> DO NOT blend smooth. The pith goes bitter in 8 seconds. Six pulses, max.
