Limes (not lemons), sugar, condensed milk. Pulse, don't blend.
Ingredients
4 Servings
- 4limes, scrubbed and quartered
- 6 cupscold water
- ½ cupgranulated sugar
- ¼ cupsweetened condensed milk
- 2 cupsice
Method
- 01
Cut 4 limes into quarters and trim out any thick white core (it's bitter). Do not peel.
- 02
Add the lime quarters, 6 cups cold water, and 1/2 cup sugar to a blender. Pulse 5–6 times — just enough to break the limes up. Do NOT blend smooth or it will turn bitter.
- 03
Strain through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher, pressing on the solids to extract the juice.
- 04
Whisk in 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk until creamy.
- 05
Serve over 2 cups ice, divided among 4 glasses.
