Prep: 5 min · Cook: 15 min · Total: 20 min · Yields: 4 servings

## Ingredients

- 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each, skin-on)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 lemon (half juiced, half sliced into rounds)
- 1 tsp honey
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- ½ tsp black pepper (freshly ground)
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped, for serving)

## Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 400 °F (200 °C) and line a rimmed baking sheet with foil.
2. In a small bowl, whisk together the 2 tbsp olive oil, 2 tbsp melted butter, 3 cloves minced garlic, juice of half the lemon, and 1 tsp honey until combined.
3. Pat the 4 salmon fillets dry with paper towels — this helps the glaze adhere and promotes even browning.
4. Place the fillets skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them at least 1 inch apart.
5. Season the tops of the salmon evenly with 1 tsp kosher salt, 0.5 tsp black pepper, and 0.5 tsp smoked paprika.
6. Spoon the garlic-butter glaze generously over each fillet, letting it pool slightly around the edges.
7. Arrange the lemon rounds from the remaining half of the lemon around the fillets on the baking sheet.
8. Bake for 12–15 minutes, until the salmon flakes easily at its thickest point with a fork and is just opaque throughout.
9. Scatter 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley over the fillets and serve immediately, with the roasted lemon rounds on the side for squeezing.

## Tip

> Pull the salmon out when the very center still looks slightly translucent — carryover heat finishes it. Waiting for full opacity throughout guarantees a dry fillet.
